We had Nathan's baby blessing on December 21, 2008. We had many family members attend. Also, during the blessing, Matt felt prompted to change Nathan's name to Nathan Andrew, which we had decided on Nathan Matthew before. His brother passed away in a car accident a few days after Nathan was born. We want to always remember Andrew's great life, and we are so grateful to have a little one join our family in such a hard and trying time. Nathan is truly a miracle and a gift from God.
Nathan slept all during sacrament meeting and all through his blessing. We were grateful that he was such an angel.
After the blessing, all of the family gathered at our home to have a light breakfast of muffins, fruit, juice, and hot chocolate. It was nice to have everyone gathered together. Nathan was not an angel then. He seemed to cry the entire time. I was back in the nursery most of the time trying to nurse him or just calm him down. He was a little pill, but we still love hime greatly.
