Nathan is getting his first tooth. You can just barely see it, but it is there. Nathan loves to play with my face and rub is gums on my face. I like to think he is giving me a kiss, but who knows what he is thinking.

Playing with Daddy

Nathan loves to play and rough house.

He also likes to ride on his daddy's shoulders and slobber all over him.

Our Baby Beethoven

Nathan loves to play my keyboard and loves music. I thought that I would introduce him to the didjeridu. I have played it for him before, but it had been a little while. He

just starred at me and thought I was weird.

Loves Those Tools

Nathan says,"Uhhhh Ohhhh you caught me Mom."

Nathan is definitely a Merrell and loves his tools. He couldn't resist playing with a drill after we put together a bookshelf for Nathan. He wants to grab and play with everything now, especially the keyboard when I am trying to type.

The Punks

Matt loves it when I wear his hat. Nathan loved to play with Matt's hat, and we couldn't believe how long he left it on. We tried to get a family picture by using the mirror to get all of us in it, but it didn't work.

Dallas Zoo

Because Matt found a job, we decided to celebrate and go to the zoo. I love animals so much that I think it was more for me than for Nathan. We thought that he would love being pushed around his stroller because I normally go on a couple of walks a day. He decided that he preferred to have us carry him. I carried him for the most part, and Matt pushed around an empty stroller. We spent most of our time with the gorillas. I could live there and watch them all day long. I have always wanted a pet gorilla. Last time I went with some friends on my birthday, and I put my hand up on the glass (like your not supposed to do). Patrick, the only male gorilla, put his hand up on the glass to touch mine. If you look at the fourth picture, the gorilla is looking back at Nathan and me (that one loves babies and looks back every time there was a baby).

Mother's Day

Mom taking a nap on Mother's Day with Nathan. I had two wishes for Mother's Day. First, I wanted a nap (granted by some miracle), and second I wanted to be able to taste food, especially the yummy breakfast that Matt made me. This was not granted unfortunately. I was getting over a sinus infection and could not taste for over a week. Let's just say the extra fat from pregnancy is now gone because I didn't have much of an appetite to eat.

Matt's family got together for Mother's Day on May 9th. We celebrated with pizza and other yummy food. Of course, the cousins loved to play together.

I found out in Cedaredge that Nathan prefers men, Grammy, and Mommy. I don't know if he was really missing his Daddy or what.

Grammy playing with Nathan. That is probably the biggest smile I have ever seen.

Nathan is playing with Mommy.

I was playing with Nathan, and he loves to suck on my fingers and hands. This time I guess he preferred my knuckles. Those teeth just won't come in and quit bothering him. Thank goodness for teething tablets.

I don't think that I have ever yelled in my life, but Nathan took me by surprise. Nathan loves to play with my face and have me right up close. One time he grabbed my lip and gave me a canker sore. That boy!!!

Nathan found Mommy's toothbrush and
decided to try it out.Okay, well maybe I
gave it to him.He loved it and would not let go.

Nathan is sitting up pretty well now.
He isn't good enough for me just to
leave him, but he is close. He already
loves his basketball.

Dad decided to put Nathan in a box after
his diaper change. He enjoyed it briefly.
What would our world be like without
our Dad.

Mr. Nathan playing with his feet. He loves
for mom to stack blocks in front of him so
that he can knock them over. He knocks
them over as fast as I can put them up.

Nathan despises rice cereal, so we decided
to try some sweet potatoes. He was okay
with them, but they started to give him a
rash. We are back to just good ole Mom's
milk.

My garden: we have got about 6 strawberries a
and lots of lettuce. The tomatoes are doing pretty
well, the onions are thriving, the red pepper is going
strong, and the cucumbers are making progress.
We will see how long the bugs will stay away as well
as the critters.

I just love this outfit and cannot wait
to put him in it for church. I have been
sick for the past two weeks, so I am excited
to put him in it for Mother's Day.

He has almost outgrown his changing table.
He is 16 lbs and seems like he grew about
3 inches in the last day.

Papa loved to take Nathan, so he had an
excuse to take a nap. Ahhhhh!!!

Mommy and Nathan on Easter. Everyone in
Cedaredge said that Nathan looks like his
Daddy. They are my two handsome boys.

Grammy, Papa, and Nathan.
I just love his outfit.

What a great smile. We don't know why it
looks like John has a mustache.

Easter 2009

Bridgette

David

Gideon

Jessica
I do not have favorites, but I only took pictues of the little ones.
I love all of my neices and nephews the same though. It was so
good to go to Cedaredge and see family. Also, we were hoping that
David and Juli's three pregnant cows would have calves before
we left, but they didn't. Also, Lisa and Alex had some adorable
ducklings that Nathan enjoyed.

Sarah Loves Her Chocolate

Sarah was eating the candy as fast as she could open it. She had chocolate dripping down her outfit. David told her to give me a kiss, so I bent over and let her do it. Oh, thank you David and Sarah.

Nathan's First Easter

All of the kids ready to hunt!!

Mariah's Baptism

Simler's Baby Goat

They called him Lucky because
he was lucky to live and Lucky
( friend of theirs) helped deliver
him.

Nathan's first experience with
animals. He preferred the
